Lockdown 6.5 – Church Broadcast and regional Victoria

Update 10.09.2021

Greater Melbourne – broadcasting services

The Chief Health Officer’s office advised us last night that he has accepted our request (made with the Roman Catholic Church) to remove the restriction that the group of up to five people recording services must be the same group each time. This means that, from today, a maximum of five people can be together to broadcast services (livestream or prerecord) but the group of five can vary for each service. QR check-in and masks, other than for one person speaking/leading/preaching at one time still apply.

Funerals in regional Victoria

If a person living in greater Melbourne attends a funeral in regional Victoria, the funeral is limited to ten mourners.

Church services in regional Victoria

Food and drink can be served in COVID-safe ways in conjunction with a church service. The 4sqm rule applies for the space in which refreshments are served and consumed. We recommend that people are seated to ensure the social distancing.
